Man U to bet €28 million for Silva
Man U coach Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to bid for David Silva, when the next transfer window opens. The English champions wanted Silva to sign in this summer, but the Valencian player preferred to stay at the Mestallas.
Rumor says that, United tried to lure Silva from Valencia earlier in 2008. Valencia rejected all kind of approaches for this 23-year-old superstar. Nevertheless, when Ferguson is preparing for a huge €28 million swoop for the international star, nobody knows what would be the situation then.
The Red Devils want to confirm Silva’s signing in into their team before the World Cup in South Africa begins. Because, the player’s value may increase if he proves himself as a star for his home country, Spain during the world cup. Silva has represented his country at many levels.
Both Real Madrid and Liverpool are interested in this player to lure him away from the Mestalla. To fill up the empty space of Cristiano Ronaldo, Old Trafford is badly in need of a playmaker like Silva.
As the transfer window is coming closer and closer, Valencia is becoming more and more likely to alter their stance. Ferguson is just the clever kind of operator, who is taking advantage of the economic hardship of this cash strapped club.
